Kelley, Stylist/Groomer Manager
Kelley joined DePorre in 2016 and has extensive experience in pet grooming and care. She attended Utica College in New York, then received her veterinary technician certification from Baker College, and is currently enrolled at Southern New Hampshire University for a degree in graphic design. Her grooming certification came from Petsmart Grooming Academy in 2012. At her job, she really enjoys the family-like atmosphere of DePorre and everyone's teamwork.
Kelley and her husband,Chris, have two boys at home, Hank and Keaton, as well as two dogs, Quinn, a Corgi, and Gordie, a Husky. Her special interests include hockey, which she played in college and photography.
Kellie , Pet Stylist
Kellie joined the DePorre team as a Receptionist in 2016. She is currently our newest Pet Stylist having completed her training here under Kelley's supervision. She appreciates that we have a family work environment and a great team "We're all in this together".
Kellie has a fiance named DJ and together they have 3 dogs at home. Kierra is an eight year old German Shepherd Dog, Ukko is a two year old Pit Bull Mix rescue from Detroit, and Puck a one year old black Pug.
Kellie enjoys watching hockey, both the Red Wings and her fiance. They frequently go camping in the upper peninsula. She loves Halloween and decorating. In her spare time she likes to paint, read a good book, and garden.
Shelly, Pet Stylist
Shelly started with us in 2018, having come from the Pet Smart Grooming Academy and Oakland Community College. What Shelly appreciates most about DePorre Veterinary Hospital is the organization, cleanliness, professionalism, and the clients.
Shelly’s family includes her husband, Derrick, and her sons, Jayden and Jace. Additionally, she has a furry family including Yoshi, a rescued Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix; Eevee, a Standard Poodle; and Athena, a domestic long-haired shelter cat. When not at work, Shelly enjoys backpacking, camping, traveling, grooming her dog, Eevee, and spending time with her family.
Janice, Pet Stylist
Janice started as an animal caregiver in 2011. She quickly became a respected team member with her strong work ethic and positive attitude. She managed the animal caregivers before achieving her dream of becoming a stylist. Janice appreciates that DePorre is a wonderful family company that sees potential in their employees and invests in training them further. Janice enjoys keeping up with current events in the news and reading romance mystery novels. She also enjoys going to nice restaurants with her husband and son. She cherishes family time up north on Satterly Lake. Janice also shares her home with two feline friends and Chad the chihuahua.
Michelle, Pet Stylist
Michelle graduated from the Academy of Animal Arts in 1998 and started here in 2015. Michelle appreciates that we have a medical staff on hand to address pet concerns. Michelle enjoys reading, fishing, cooking, swimming, boating and time spent with her partner, Freddy, and her son. She shares her home with Elmer, an English Bulldog, and Alice, a shorthair tabby.
Misty, Pet Stylist
Misty joined DePorre Veterinary Hospital in 2014 after training with Sheri to become a pet stylist. One of the things she really appreciates about DePorre is that everyone is always very helpful, kind, and committed to teamwork. Misty’s animal companions include Bob, a Saddlebred-Quarter Horse cross, and Buddy, a Bichon Frise. Her hobbies outside of the hospital include photography, modeling, karaoke, and going on trail rides with Bob.
