Meet Our Receptionist Team in Bloomfield Hills
Our receptionists are the first faces you'll see when you walk into DePorre Veterinary Hospital. They play a major role in keeping our hospital running smoothly, helping you set up appointments, and making sure you get all your questions answered before you leave. Get acquainted with them!
Jenny, Receptionist Manager
Jenny joined the DePorre team in 2014 and loves the working environment here. She feels that everyone gives 100% to provide the best care to our patients and clients, and the staff are always supportive of each other.
At home, Jenny has two cats, Ron and Percy, who are brothers, as well as their doggie sister, Greta, whom Jenny helped to deliver into the world.
Dominique joined our team in 2014. She is currently finishing her degree in liberal studies at Oakland University. She enjoys being a part of DePorre where she loves her coworkers, the interactions with pets that come in, and each pet's before and after look with the grooming team!
Dominique's family includes one younger brother who she is very close with along with her mom and dad. While she has no pets of her own, she enjoys spending time with her friends' and coworkers' pets. When she is not working or in school, she loves to exercise, whether it is weightlifting or yoga - both are great ways to relieve stress after a long day. She also enjoys travel, particularly to different countries and learning about different cultures. When spending time with her family, they love to find new restaurants to try.
Kellie joined the DePorre team in 2016 and enjoys working in a place that doesn't really feel like work! To her, the hospital has a family-like atmosphere, and she, of course, loves to see all the pets who come in to visit for grooming or veterinary care.
Kellie shares her home with her fiance, D.J., their German Shepherd, Kierra (which means "black beauty" in Gaelic) and their mixed Boxer/Pit breed, Ukko (Finnish god of weather). In her spare time, she enjoys hockey, kayaking, painting, camping, watching Netflix, and Halloween decorating.
Kim M., Receptionist
Kim graduated from Wayne State University and started working at DePorre in 2001. She likes how we work as a team to provide the best medicine possible, which in turn, allows us to build relationships with our clients and their pets.
Kim is married to her husband, Sean, and they have four pets including Lucifur, who was brought to DePorre as a feral kitten; Olaf, who likes to give hugs; and Manhattan and Martine who are littermates. In her spare time, Kim enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling. She also has a fascination with gnomes.
Melisa has been one of our team members since 1998. She feels that DePorre is like a family, and everyone works as a team for the good of our patients and clients.
Melisa and her husband, Ken, have a daughter as well as two pets, Gus, a Labrador, and Larkin, a Labrador mix. In her spare time, Melisa enjoys home decorating. Christmas is her favorite time of the year! She also loves spending time with her family, playing board games, and going to the movies.
