Veterinarian
I joined the DePorre Veterinary Hospital team as an Associate Veterinarian in 2024. I graduated from Michigan State University with my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine along with an MBA and a Masters in Theology. What drew me to the DVH team was the attention to high-quality medicine and veterinary surgery along with the appreciation the team has for both the clients and their pets.
Professionally I am interested in Animal Welfare and am working toward board certification through the American College of Animal Welfare. I'm the current chairperson of the Michigan VMA Animal Welfare Committee and serve on the University of Michigan Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), which oversees all animal research at UM. As well, I'm a member of the Southeast Michigan VMA Academy, which recognizes an ongoing commitment to continuing education.
I have two cats, Arya and Beric (yes, named from Game of Thrones!). In my spare time, aside from time spent in home improvement, I play the Scottish smallpipes and am learning the Theremin. I also fish from time to time and am an automobile enthusiast. My pet car is a 2007 Pontiac Solstice.
